The story takes us to Neochori in Crete, Athens, and Galaxidi, spanning the period from the Occupation (1944) to the mid-1960s. We follow the drama of the traditional family of Michailos Ftenoudos, which begins when his youngest daughter becomes pregnant by an Italian man just as her father is slowly dying.
